Every year Aircalin sponsors the Anse-Vata – Duck Island swimming contest, and this year was no exception.

The course is 2.2 km long and was open to all.
Over 500 people aged from 7 to 77 years-old participated, ensuring this event is among the most popular sporting events in New Caledonia.

Flavours of New Caledonia On Board

In March 2010 Aircalin introduced typical dishes from New Caledonian cuisine.

Following the success of these with its customers the airline continued to promote local gastronomy by  serving the “bougna” on selected flights from December 2010 to February 2011. From March 2011, you will be able to taste tantalising deer white wine ragout or deer curry on long haul fligths departing from Noumea.
